I felt like this would be the case when the story broke that they had known about this for years.
Unlikely they had disclosed this to the Saints prior to the draft.

Glad to get it back but I would have preferred him being OK and us keeping him

“[Dorenbos] and I have had a lot of chances to reflect on the last two days,” Saints coach Sean Payton said Saturday, via Josh Katzenstein of the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “He’s an amazing guy, and his perspective as you can imagine has been outstanding. And he looks at it in a significant way in which you could argue the trade itself saved his life.”

Did they not tell him about the medical situation?

They knew about his murmur. No one knew he had an aortic aneurysm

ok so he goes back to philly or do we keep him and get our pick back?
I was under the impression this wasn't a career ending thing and he could play before the end of this season?
I wouldn't mind us keeping him somehow if they could figure that out

The trade is rescinded. He goes back to philly and we get our draft pick back

This had nothing to do with the orthopedic changes...
Amoss is the teams internist...
