PFF ranked Brees as the 2nd best QB this week, FWIW.
misprint, they forgot to put the 3 in front of the 2.....

Even a blind man could see Drew's play was awesome, despite one of the worst performances from the line this year. Some of these posters have to be trolls.

Drew was almost flawless last night, despite being rushed constantly. One bad throw, the rest of his game was stellar. And we still lose? Even a modestly intelligent person can see the problem is not at QB.
He gifted them 7 points. Spotting a team 7 points in any game is a pretty big deal no matter how well you preform the rest of the game.

Right, but even with the interception it was still a great performance.
His interception rate for the game was great despite facing pressure every single play. Putting the loss on him is ridiculous when he was the only reason we were in the game with that atrocious oline performance

Spotting them 7 points still puts us at a tie and the way Brees was pressured all night, if we had the ball first in OT it would probably end like the most of our drives. If they got the ball first, we would have been done or if we couldnt' score a TD we would have lost. Our defense got gashed for some ridiculous 8.9ypc and no body could get pressure on Flacco, they did whatever to us all night.
For sake of a real discussion, Drew takes the sack and we punt instead and the same game plays out.
Its still 17-17.
The next drive for them, they kicked a FG (3pts) 20-17.
Next drive, we scored a FG 20-20.
The following drive, Forsett gashed us for 57 yards on 3 carries, TD 27-20 with 2:53 left.
We run down the clock and score instead of leaving 40 seconds left, 27-27 OT.
1-2 in OT this year, I don't think it goes pretty.

I thought Junior had a hell of a game rushing the passer.
That was the difference in the game though. We were absolutely gifted a pick 6 b/c of pressure applied by Junior and we could make the easiest play imaginable.

I'll take this Brees that "shoot us in the foot" every other year rather than the QBs of the past that wouldn't even give us a shot at all.

It really blows the mind.
They think b/c he got fair compensation for his skills that every other player on the team's poor play is his fault.
Outside of the Tampa Bay game that we won, he's the reason we've been competitive at all.

Because because, Brees needs to take a pay cut! His 20mil/yr is killing us.
We need him to go back to his 6yr/60mil bargain!

What makes you think the defense could stop them? Did you watch them play. If anything, giving them the 7 points probably was better because it gave us more time to work on offense. Not entirely something you put in the gameplan, but for arguments sake they were running the ball all night and ate up the clock and tired out the defense.

I never said the defense could?
You saw the following drives, they ate through us with the run game:
Forsett
1 rush for 20 yards
1 rush for 35 yards
1 rush for 2 yards
in one drive for a TD
Drew taking the sack or not, this game wasn't on him. He gave us a shot, we couldn't stop a nosebleed after a while. Even with the pick 6, our defense still allowed 10 more points. Our offense scored 10 points over that span too (them pretty much giving us the yards/last score on prevent majority of the way) so like I said. "tie game", but lets be realistic, they could have beat us through the air if they wanted to as well.

The D linemen were beating Brees to the backfield. Something has to be done with our linemen. If we didnt have Brees we would have a perfect record -NO WINS. And we have no defense! Damn we have some stupid fans
