He could be the third player in NFL history with 70,000 yards

All time leaders passing yards:
Manning- 71,940
Favre- 71,838
Brees- 69,680
Brady- 65,447

All time leaders Passing TDs
Manning- 539
Favre- 508
Brees- 484
Brady- 483

If Brees averages 250 passing yards in the last 3 games he will need 1,511 yards to be #1.

If he averages 2 passing TD these last 3 games he will be 19 away from #2 on the list and 50 away from #1 on the list.

Brees will be #1 in passing yards next season and #1 in passing Tds in two seasons

At his current rate, he may need 3 seasons to get to the TD record.

He can break the record in the Superbowl. How awesome would that be!

Assuming postseason counts. Not sure.

Eta. Nvm. Didnt see the part about avg over next 3 games.

To really appreciate the numbers - he has never had a Pro Bowl WR on any roster.

Really impressive stuff. I have a feeling Brady might not keep playing as long as he says he wants to. He's a straight up pussy this year, flopping like broken-necked Peyton everytime a defender comes within 2 yeards of him and clearly refuses to QB sneak, which has directly cost them a chance to win two of their games (Kansas City, Miami).

Just feel like Giselle is in his ear and she's going to get him to retire if he wins the SB this year.

He will be number 1 in all significant categories and never a serious candidate for MVP.

WTF?

that is really mind boggling to me as well. He just had bad timing as far as when he had his best stat seasons and how our W/L record corresponded to his best seasons. 2011 should have been the year he was most heavily considered but Aaron Rodgers was a no-brainer - had a better record, better stats, more high-profile games, and was more dramatic in how he did it (running, diving, etc.)

If Payton had been a little steadier in the playcalling, some of Brees' best statistical seasons could have resulted in 10-6 or 11-5 records (instead of the 7-9 or 8-8 records that ultimately disqualified Brees from consideration).

The guys on Sirius have made this same point many times. They just had to give it to manning and Brady every damn time
