because we definitely don't need ANY HELP AT ALL BY DRAFTING PASS RUSHING DE

WITH OUR 11, 32, and maybe even 42 pick, at least 2 of these, which ever we still have, 32 or 42, depending on the bulter thing, have to be DISRUPTIVE DE picks or we are not serious about even bothering to try to compete this year

Damn dude. I never said we didn't need to draft a DE. Go back & read the post. I just posted the rounds that our Safety targets would likely get drafted in & asked which ones had the best value.

I've wanted to draft DE at #11 for about 6 months now.

I guess you didn't make it clear enough with this sentence in the OP

quote:

We need a guy that can cover & we should easily be able to get one in the 3rd round if we wait that long.

Trade for a good safety, maybe Eric Reid wants to come home.

sure looked like your post suggests who we should draft with our picks to me

quote:

It's highly likely that we draft a safety if we don't address the need via free agency. What safety do you prefer for the value?

Pick #11 - Malik Hooker, Jamal Adams
Pick #32/#42 - Jabrill Peppers, Obi Melifonwu, Budda Baker
Pick #76/#103 - Josh Jones, Marcus Williams, Marcus Maye, Desmond King, Josh Johnson, Justin Evans

nothing there about "after drafting a DE" who should we pick at safety

Dude

And then you left off the next part

I really don't what to tell you man. Read the entire post. Do you really think that I want to draft a Safety with all of our top 5 picks? We only need 1 & the 3rd round is a very viable option.

I also said this further down the 1st page...

#11 - Barnett or Taco
#32 - Top rated CB on our board
#42 - Top rated QB/RB/WR/TE on our board. Maybe even LB if our guy is there
#76 - Top rated Safety on our board
#103 BPA(QB/RB/OT/WR/TE/2nd DE/LB). I'm assuming we've already addressed DE, CB, & S at this point. Those are our 3 most important needs. LB is a need as well, but the staff might be content with the 6 guys we already have.

I've been one of the few advocates of taking 2 DE's with our top 5 picks.

Just admit that you misread the post. It happens to the best of us.

I can tell that you keep downvoting TigerBait1127 & I. You gain more respect(by adults) by admitting when you're wrong...rather than sticking to your argument(even though it's wrong). It's called maturity & something adults notice. I'm smart enough to know when I'm wrong & have no problem with admitting it. If you're younger than 25, then you shouldn't feel too bad...it's kind of to be expected actually.

obviously I must have, but you did ask in the first post about pick #11 and gave choices for which safety would be the best pick there at #11, that's what prompted me to get confused about what you were suggesting, so I posted that.

had you not put the #11 option out there to choose which safety to select at #11, then it wouldn't have looked to me like you might be suggesting we should do it, you also must admit that as well

Sure.

I can tell what you did...you read the 1st part of my post and ran with it. Nothing wrong with that. I've done it before. All you had to do was say that in the first place & nobody could have said a damn thing to you.

Obi Melifonwu is a guy I really like. I honestly had never heard of him till the combine them the kid at 6-4 ran a 4.40 and jumped 44 inches so I pulled up some UCONN film on YouTube and he was impressive. Would love to see us grab him in the second or third

I pretty much did that in my second post, explaining why I posted in the first place, but then obviously that may not have come across as clear as I thought it would, so after your reply to it, I then made it very clear in my 3rd post.

explaining why I misinterpreted something (in my second post) is not refusing to admit being wrong, its just explaining the context which caused me to think that in the first place. I thought that would have been taken the way I intended it to be.

I like BYU safety Kai Nacau. I thinks he's projected late round to udfa. Very productive and put up some great test numbers at their pro day.
