You listen anyway, because you have no other local outlet to keep your Interest. I don't defend those drunk fricks! However, they are home grown. I don't agree with everything they say, but they do stumble on some good topics from time to time. You had to start a thread about how WWL is annoying to you? Change the channel, but you will be back. Also, that negative guy coming to shoot me down! Go frick yourself like 5 years ago, prick!

No I don't, Because they are home grown, I try to listen. But when I hear that Semper Fi BS, I turn on music. And it really honks me off because I grew up listening to that station and it seems like after Katrina, they just don't care anymore. I turn it on for the news because the Times Picayune doesn't give a damn anymore either and I stopped reading that rag.
After the news, more dumbass crappy programing. Everybody knows what I'm talking about. If more people bitched, maybe they would change it...
like the toll on the bridge.

I've gotten used to Deke and Bobby. Better than radio voiced generic assholes, imo.
ETA: I do think Christian Garic/Kristian Garrett/Christen Garrickkk/wtfeverhisnameis to be boring.

I hate him the worst. I can't really put a finger on it. Although some call-in listeners are truly morons, his responses to them and others with insight is shitty. He annoys the hell out of me.
I accept Deke and Bobby for what they are.
Those are the only ones I listen to with any frequency because of my drive times.

Replace Deke with Mike D and now we have something that might be okay. I really enjoy listening to Bobby and Mike on Monday's.

Mike Dettillier(sp?) and Bobby would make a much better team, at least on football. I'm not a fan of Deke.

I love Bobby and he is no Deadbeat Dad. I cannot stand Deke and Spud is the dummest MF I ever heard. WWL used to be good listening but Sports talk is the only thing I can stand...and Deke makes that a struggle. Thank God for ESPN Radio and Rush.

I'll be devil's advocate and take the opposiste glass half-full stance:
Kristian Garic is knowledgable and has an engaging on-air presence - easy to listen to.
I am not a Marine, but I don't care if he says Semper Fi 20 times a day. I think it's cool.
Deke - he may be a little talkative when the callers are trying to get their point across, but his opinionated rants entertain me. He seems to ask good questions of regional and national hosts and celebrities that he has as guests. I actually agree with him on some of his rants.
Bobby is amusing. His Cajun accent is not over the top; at least you can understand (most of the time) what he is saying. His Hebert-isms are funny "Nooooo" "Whatcha GOTTTT?" Does hog callers' talk time a little bit.
Garland is knowledgable on current events and very involved in the community. He cares about the city and state and he is pretty humble and very impartial to politics.
Scoot is a N.O. tradition and has very interesting topics and guests and theme shows.
Tommy Tucker - my favorite. I love this guy.
His wit and sarcasm and impersonations and character voices are hilarious.
Spud - like him too. 'Where y'at babyyyyy? How you making?" I like listening to him especially when he has 'list' theme shows.

I'd be willing to bet 90% of fans for all 32 NFL teams will have some type of issue and or complaint about there local media coverage. It comes with the territory... especially for teams who have just recently found success.
Its almost like Bobby was better suited playing devils advocate back when the Saints sucked. His criticism and tirades were always spot on and he would keep the homer diehard fans in check with a dose of reality. Ever since the Payton/Brees era begun (especially after winning SB44) he seems to have flipped his agenda and will now defend anything and anyone. It gets annoying at times for sure, but at the same time I can still appreciate the classic Bobby moment. He is spot on when it comes to handling the uneducated casual fan who calls in with trolling questions/comments.

Yeah Bobby is actually surprisingly pretty good at that. When people call in just bullshitting and throwing out random insults/critiques Bobby's always got some facts to back himself up and call them out.

Meh. When he's actually talking sports he's fine but there's too much morning zoo style bullshite(ie. Gus Kundendall drop that gets played every 3 mins) in his show.

I think you have the wrong guy. He doesn't do impersonations or character voices. What he does do is talk down to callers and crack the lamest jokes. When I'm in NOLA I only listen to catch the traffic and it's painful to have to listen to him.
