I don't believe for 1 second that the saints would have avoided severe penalties even if they were honest from the get-go.
Anyone want to guess what the penalties would be for bountygate if it were the patriots or packers instead of the saints?

THis is the entire reason we are punished. It has nothing to do with the bounties. If it was all the bounties only GW and the players involved would have been punished. SP certainly not a full season. And Loomis, no way.
