Direct TV letting customers cancel subscriptions to Sunday NFL Ticket package

"Satellite broadcaster will let at least some customers get refunds for its Sunday Ticket package of NFL games if they cite players’ national anthem protests."
We the ordinary fans are supposedly not allowed to mix sports with politics on this sports board, so why can the players and owners do so in the games? Double Standard?

Nope she hates my foul mouth. Unlike Trumpkins I don't blame others for my faults. I have a filthy mouth of my own doing. Of course I don't speak like this in a work environment, but on a football message board it doesn't matter. I'm perfectly able to communicate without it. Chose it for affect.

Nope. 7th ward New Orleans via Epiphany Elementary to Brother Martin High to UNO. Parents worked very hard to keep me out of the public school system. I am properly educated and able to hold an intelligent conversation when presented with one.

Of course they do. But why give the NFL time and mouse clicks and give attention to something that you've given up on. Is it a cry for attention? I am asking seriously. And I stand for the anthem. People who don't do not bother me.
ETA: I will admit that I do not stand at my home while watching games or the Olympics, but at live events I do.
