i dont know the recovery rate for wide receivers with this injury but it doesnt sound like he will be able to come back but if he can......
i think its worth the gamble to sign him long term as long as there are insurance clauses where he has to compete and produce at a high level to get paid above base salary and nothing is guaranteed
