For the sake of the offense. The O is playing lights out. Something has to get fixed so it doesn't bite the Saints in the arse during playoffs.

ETA: I took out the passing yards given up because it is irrelevant.

We gave up 406 in prevent. We knew our offense could not be stopped. Game was never close after half.

35-10 going into the 4th. Sorry, but the defense doesn't give a shite about yardage, they're just worried about giving up the deep ball (which, to be fair, they did). Other than that one play, I'm 100% OK with their performance.

200 of those yards were in garbage time.

Some of that is due to Eli being a great QB, but there were a lot of yards gobbled up from blown coverages. We only have one solid corner, and one solid safety. We also have trouble getting pressure using only the front four, which forces GW to blitz too much. This causes too many open spaces in the back end, especially with weak corners.

Pretty sure you didn't watch the game.

We were letting them have everything underneath in the 4th quarter.

The only argument that can be made for the D is that they didn't give up as much points as the Saints offense scored and they created 2 turnovers. Don't give me this half bull shite. A game is 4 quarters. I bet the Colts didn't throw for 406 yards. If you don't see this as a "need fixing" then you are clueless.

Saints D player mostly prevent and gave up a lot of yardage doing so. Manning completed 21 straight passes. The secondary alone is good enough to breakup a pass or two if not giving huge cushion to prevent big plays.

Yeah, we're clueless because we're not so fricking stupid as to think being up 35-10 in the 4th quarter doesn't change defensive philosophy.

and you are clueless if you think a gameplan doesn't change throughout a game after being up by 20 or down by 20

The defense can be better, absolutely. But your yardage argument based on this game is retarded. Now if you argued we got almost no pressure, absolutely agree.

Whoever I replied to said the game was over at half. Bull shite. I know what I seen and it's exactly what I seen by the poster I quoted.

Right because GW was blitzing in the 4th just as he was doing all game. The lack of pressure had to do with the yards given up, also PR has to close in on the reciever better.

Defense is spoiled by our offense...

They play well if the game is close but they relax when the game is out of reach.

21-3 at half... They haven't stopped us all night... at home.. yeh I'd say it was pretty much over. Hell, Steve Young and the MNF crew said it was over before it started.

Okay. You can give the D a pass, but me, personally I'd rather the Saints not have to win in a shootout vs Green Bay. Jmo.

Talking head about what Aaron Rodger would say about the Saints. "What a great offense but I would love to play that defense."

Well no shite they gave up 406 fricking passing yards, but let's give them a pass because the offense will carry the team the rest of the way. Nvm let's give them a pass because it was prevent D, even though GW was still getting after the QB. You cannot overlook 406 yards, and defend the D. This isn't college ball.
