Say what you want about his play, but he is mature enough to understand that its not an either or situation

quote:

“Drew wasn’t talking about the current protest, the riots or really anything besides HIS feelings on kneeling during the National Anthem,” Davenport tweeted. “He even explained what they were, the basis and that he actually stands with us. Do we have to entirely agree with him, no.

It's entirely possible to disagree with Drew's comments, and pretty strongly, while also thinking he's a good guy just speaking his mind. I'm living proof.

Thank you for posting this. I didn't understand the first 19 times that I saw it, but now, I totally get it.

I'm fine with jenkins disagreeing...but running to social media to grand stand before actually talking to him is bullshite and shows his true intentions. Attention whore.

Did Drew consult him when he said his comments during an interview that everyone would see? No. He was very dismissive. He chose to change the wording of kneeling to "disrespect" when asked the question. Disrespectful to who exactly? I have vets in my family just like him. None of them feel disrespected.

Oh so now we need to consult a left wing radical every time we make a comment?

I see.

Didn't Brees make this comment in an interview? He obviously never talked about this in depth with his teammates or he never would have mentioned "disrespect."

he was giving an interview to Yahoo finance, asked about anthem protests, and gave the same opinion he's always had on it.

Cool and he has vets in his family that he feels he's disrespecting by doing so, that's his opinion on the matter.

What is your point?

Let's reverse this...had Jenkins came out and said something extremely controversial in an interview setting. Do you think Drew would a) log into IG quickly, work up some tears, and denounce him or b) pick up the phone to talk about it

Pretty sure this has always been his stance and he has vocalized it before, during the initial kneeling fiasco.

Don't you know that you only have to show integrity and level-headedness if you are the oppressor?
