70%+ completion last game says otherwise. Rattler is doing what's asked him in Kellen Moore's offensive scheme. Deep shots require longer routes & deeper drops by the QB. It's become obvious that Moore wants QBs to get the ball out quickly & on time especially playing behind this shite offensive line.

Robert Saleh is one of the best defensive minds currently in football. He could have said nothing at all yet he did. What he described in his interview is exactly what Rattler did against Saleh's defense in the actual game.

How were his Jets defenses?

If you were a real fan and watched his media availability this week, SR literally said they're being coached to take "lay-ups" and "3 pointers". If 1st and 2nd read aren't there then take the check down. Getting the ball out of their hands which is good coaching bc our OL is still improving.

Wtf is special about those two throws?
You serious Clark? The timing and window he has to make those throws is probably less than 2 seconds. Too soon or underthrown, it's picked by the underneath man. Too late then it's picked by the man over the top. This is the arm strength, progression, decision making, and accuracy Robert Saleh is referring to in my OP.

Do you believe Spencer Rattler will develop into a QB that can lead us to a Conf. Championship game?

Let’s see how Rattler does @ Seattle and @ Buffalo before we declare him a MVP that has yet to win a game.

Still have not answered why Loomis drafted another QB if Rattler is the man?

You tards are ridiculous. No one is saying anything about Rattler being an MVP. Its about his growth & development as a 5th round QB who is now playing well above his draft spot. Get that through your thick skull.

Plus, you really expect anyone here to respect your opinion after you openly did know the Jets played great defense under Saleh? The Jets problem wasn't defense under Saleh. For as good as the defense was, the offense was equally as bad.

There's no way anyone can give a definitive to this question. Rattler is still a young developing QB who is still learning ins & outs of playing at the NFL level. Why do so many people think he's a finished product already?

I'll say this, I think he can be just as effective as Jalen Hurts is minus the tush push which is on it's way out of the league. Rattler isn't as strong as Hurts but makes up for that as a pure passer.

you do realize had we not drafted any QB this year our backup would be Jake Haener which means we have no back up. I will admit KM probably wasn't sold on Rattler during the draft but has started to buy in since and with Shough we have a viable option as a back up or potential starter if things don't work out for Rattler.

I mean just look at how many back up QBs will start this week and watch how many start throughout the year. It's almost like you need two starting caliber QBs with injuries in today's game.

To clarify, the accuracy issues are beyond 5-7 yard checkdowns. Every NFL QB can hit those at a high rate. Covered in videos and the charts posted by @Antib551 earlier

Alvin Kamara has 20% of our receptions the past two season. Tight Ends accounted for another 28%.

It’s not like we have the personnel for a downfield attack even if we wanted too. No YAC. Catch ball, fall down.

That's fine, but when he has thrown the ball 10+ yards down field he hasn't been accurate enough. That has nothing to do with scheme and these arent 40 yard bombs. Plain as day in the charts above. The opportunities have been there.

Bruh, you shouldn't even have to have posted this. These people want to act like Rattler has the 2011 Saints offensive skill players around him. He doesn't. The Saints currently have bottom half of the league talent at the skill positions & an offensive line that is committing tons of penalties as well as struggling in pass pro yet they want him go full out Rex Grossman & just chunk it deep.

False. There's QBs in the bottom half of the league who can't compete 70% against air.

A chart is not All 22 or the endzone view coaching film. A chart does not realistically indicate if an opportunity was available on a play or not. Plus, a chart doesn't allow you to see if a receiver didn't run his route correctly or if the rep was well played by the secondary.

I didnt ask you if he would. I asked if you believe he will.

Every QB ever is a young developing QB learning the ins and outs of playing at the NFL level. Thats a nothing of a statement.

I dont think hes a finished product. I also dont think he will ever be a top QB in the league.

We are currently running for the same amount of ypg as last year 114. That number will do the passing game no favors.
