This team exceeded my wildest dreams in terms of success. They won 8 games in a row after losing their first two. They won the NFC South and beat the Carolina Panthers 3 times, one of those in the Wild Card Playoffs. They came up just short against the Vikings in the Divisional Playoff but wow, take a look at the foundation they have built. Their were so many positive contributions by rookies this season. The Saints played the number 1 defense with a chance to advance to the NFCCG and were 10 seconds away. A rookie safety missed a coverage assignment/tackle and allowed a TD. But if not for that rookie and many like him the Saints would not be in that position. The opportunity to learn and have the playoff experience for a young team like this will pay dividends. Marcus Williams-Congratulations on a Great first year and we look forward to may more. Without you, we would have not advanced so far in the tournament.

Despite this horrible loss this is still one of my favorite teams ever... We have a extremely young roster and this is the bumps with young players... Excited about these players future. Who Dat!

Yea, horrible way to end the season, but let’s be honest.....most of us didn’t even think we’d be this far. It was a wild ride.

Yes! And with players like Kamara, Lattimore, Williams, Ramzcyk, Anzalone, Te'o the future is very bright!

Winning a really good division should not be forgotten.

Not folding vs Minny when they easily could have..says a lot.

Just wasn't meant to be, dammit to hell.

I’m very happy to be a Saints fan. They had a great season, but fell short at the end. I really feel like this team makes a deep run next year

Can't be too hard on the Rookie. He will beat himself up repeatedly over the off season. For most of the season we had a revolving door on the defense at so many positions. No consistent leadership on the field yet they were so close to the title game. He played incredible all year. I believe this event will be a valuable learning experience and he will be come a leader on the field.
