Surely Johnson takes bears or jags. Just ready for him to make his decision, so we can move on to a realistic option.
Jags and Bears are terrible spots. Pats may be the best job on that list. None of those teams are ready to compete without a multiple year rebuild.

Jags and Bears might have franchise qbs and talent at the skill position.

Yeah, no. Lawrence still hasn’t figured it out after six years. Williams is still a Question Mark. Neither are better than Carr whether yall like it or not.

Jets are requesting interviews with everyone.

Someone like Johnson would much prefer a Williams or Lawrence to a Carr, friend.

Probably, but jags are tied to Lawrence for 4 more seasons. If he doesn't like Lawrence, that could be a deal breaker.

One is a rookie, very rare rookie qb do good in the league.
Secondly, you forgot what he did with Goff? Boy wonder McVay had to give a first for the lions to take him. No one wanted him. And look at his career right now. That was after he signed his second contract similar to Goff….
Both have way way more trade value than Carr….

Saints have 2 minority candidates lined up. Gruden was just in town. Saints wanted him for OC last season. Loomis wants to retain some coaches, and gruden has worked with this staff. I say it's gonna be gruden.

Saints are looked at as the worst job available. They aren’t getting anyone that’s going to move the needle. Loomis and his cap shite show has made sure of that.

Completely disagree about jags. They cruising to a high seed last year before Lawrence got injured and Doug became enamored with Press Taylor. They now have a top 5 young WR in the nfl. If Goff could be be fixed so can Lawrence.

4.
And the urban year was a detriment to him if anything. I don’t think a qb in the league would’ve done well in that situation.
He played extremely well in Doug’s first year, good last year then suffered multiple injuries and tried to play through them. The offense as a whole was an absolute mess this year and Doug and Press did him no favors. Neither did Gabe Davis or Christian Kirk.
His career trajectory is actually VERY similar to Goffs early career.
Having watched and equal amount of Saints and Jags this year is take the jags roster/cap space/qb potential over ours 100/100x.

Do you not understand how much power Loomis has in New Orleans?
Sure. But Gruden is the only guy who can walk in and demand final say on personnel decisions, and have the chops to back it up.
As others have pointed out - he may not be as strong as I’d like, but he can’t be worse than Loomis.

I don’t think Gruden can demand anything. I can’t see anyone else giving him a job. And his last coaching job where he had a ton of control didn’t work out very well.
Also…yippie, another failed Raiders coach!

I don’t see him taking a job unless he has it.

Doesn't even matter who the Saints get - they have to ride out the salary cap hell for a few years first
This next coach is sacrificial lamb

Gruden's lucky that Barstool attached themselves to him. He ain't getting a NFL job and definitely isn't in the position to be demanding full control. The last playoff game he won was that Superbowl 22 years ago. Why would anyone with a brain even want him to have full control? The draft classes he put together in Vegas make Loomis look like a genius.
