We still had Jameis

We haven't made the playoffs with Carr, also.

I believe that the staff was done with Winston so they 'didn't’.

And the second port of your post is kind of irrelevant. It's like saying 'I could win the lottery tomorrow if you give me the numbers tonight '.

The big one - to me - the problem one - is Carr. If you decide not to restructure Carr (or if you cut him - basically no difference until June) you basically have to restructure every other unfriendly deal on the roster to get compliant, and even then you have ZERO breathing room. Which is why, unfortunately, I think they are going to restructure Carr, and Mickey was bullshitting us in his presser about "all options being on the table" - unless they have some magic bullets in the chamber.

I wonder if they try to trade him + picks to a team for nothing, similar to Brock Osweiler.

I’d give up a pick to rid this garbage from the roster forever.

How high of a pick are you willing to give up? Teams know that we are bent over a barrel and are spreading the cheeks…..

I’d do a 3 without hesitation.

Saints calling around: I’ll send you Carr & a 3rd
Other teams: in return for what
Saints: a signature agreeing to the deal

I agree and would love to get off him, it's just sooo hard to get compliant in that scenario. We're likely hitching ourselves to at least 1-3 more years of every other bad contract on the list if we do that...which, I'm not necessarily against, but it's a tough spot

The best thing the team could do is somehow convince him to take a pay cut & then be cut. But I think he'd probably say no.
