Yes I think so, he is talented and just needs to church up some things. Coach and Drew can help.

He has the talent.
If he can sit and get the mental part down, he can become a good QB. Maybe not Brees level great. But it’s better than a lifetime of replacements like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Moore, Chad Henne, Chad Pennington, Cleo Lemon, Sage Rosenfels, A.J. Felley, Damon Huard and Jay Fiedler.

Awesome, innovative, unique thread idea we haven’t discussed at all here. So informative in the OP

The definitive answer is....
Maybe
Maybe

Certainly is an intriguing situation that I did not expect the Saints to be in.

Right, I think he has it but it needs fine tuning. He never been in a position where he was able to learn to lead. He always has just been giving the keys to run the show. This big piece of humble pie should do him right. Downside is watching him cheerleading on the sidelines may get too much video footage

Great minds think alike. And so do BlacknGold, ddbnsb, and mdomingue.

I would defintely have an open mind about it...Winston and Hill competing for the job, not to shaby imo

Tbh he will be. I just think a lot of people don’t want to accept it.

I don't think Payton plans to keep him around to be the starter.

I know Brees not being resigned in San Diego and them drafting a QB was a huge motivator for Brees. I just hope that Winston has the same reaction and matures from this experience. He’s got the tools, he just needs the maturity and knowledge to apply those tools.
