Overall record will not matter

Yes it will. Even if we win out but Carolina doesn't lose another game except to us, they will only have 3 losses and win the division.

You do know that they go by overall record other than division record when coming up with the division winners don't you?

yes they can if they run the table or go 6-2 in the final 8.

I highly doubt it though. The problem that will HAUNT this team is a loss to Washington that should be a win and a loss to the Vikings that should be a win. Those two are going to be in the same situation as the Saints and we lose the tiebreakers head to head

I love your enthusiasm but this is a giant fail. They look at overall record. Division record is the first tiebreak for playoffs, then conference record, then record vs same teams, etc...I can't remember the rest.

ETA: A 13-3 team with a 3-3 division record will win the division over a 6-10 team with a 6-0 division record.

Yeh Hun, you seem pretty retarted on the division title situation. You shouldn't post on a NFL board and not know too much about the sport. Overall record beats any division record, then if a tie-breaker is need then it comes down to the division record! There, football playoffs 101 for you.

Thanks for the laugh tho

I too enjoyed his posts, but at least he was trying to find a way for the Saints to make it...even though he was horribly wrong.

wrong. overall record determines the champ of a division. division record determines possible tie breakers. you, sir, need to learn.

Slow your roll.....They are one game behind Tampa and 2 behind Carolina with a victory over the Falcons. If Carolina loses, we are 1 back. This isn't over by a long shot. They do, however, have to win this game.

Not this year. Still no D and no running game = no playoffs. Duce will get suspended and w/Bush all gimpy no way we run the table. Next year we have as good a chance as anyone but this year it's over.
