I know there’s a zero-tolerance policy in my diocese. No clergymen currently in service in my diocese has ever been accused of sexual misconduct if any kind
Congrats on having such a low bar for your religious and moral leadership

Are you clowns serious?
So the Catholic Church should just give up? Allow the predator priests and their enablers to drive thousands and thousands of people away from their faith, essentially providing them even more victims by separating them from God? If you're a true and innocent Catholic (like Gayle and hopefully the arch-bishop), you're still trying to save souls, and wouldn't the devil love for people to give up on God because all they hear about is the pedophiles.

The problem, of course, is that the church as an institution spent years, decades, trying to cover up and minimize the issue of pervasive sexual abuse committed by its clergy rather than dealing with the issue openly and aggressively,
This effort of minimization and concealment seems to be continuing and now with the involvement of several top corporate officers of the Saints/Pelicans organizations.
Why in the world would any corporate officer volunteer their and their organizations reputation to try and rehabilitate the public image of another institution? Why would they go so far as to contact journalists telling them they need to "get behind and support" (as if that's their job!) a public figure embroiled in an ongoing scandal involving the cover up of the sexual abuse of children? Further telling journalists that, prior to publishing any allegations against church officials, the reporter should contact them--the Saints PR officer!--so they can "investigate" the claims.
And when confronted with knowledge of these efforts the Saints went down the same road as the church, trying to conceal and hide the extent of their involvement from public view.

At worst, the teams helped gloss things over because they have some role in the crime. Maybe the teams were used to lure in children so that priests could sexually sbuse them….
At best, the teams public relations folks were used to help gloss over a crime by the church so that the church could look better than it did. Why should they get that sort of help?
Why should an innocent employee like greg bensel have to get involved in something like that?
Both of the above scenarios are bad. The fist would be criminal. The second, while jot criminal, is an abuse of power .

$50 mill over cap with no chance to win anything. No responsibility. No competence. Own really bad restaurants. Smell each other's farts daily. I mean maybe it's not actually criminal, but we are easily the worst organization in the NFL, by far. It's embarrassing at the very least.

Association with Catholic Church does not look good. Not their business.

They hired Loony. It's robbery as they are robbing fans of money spent on this cesspool of a product with no opportunity for returns/refunds.
