By the Saints never going downfield on throws the PI calls will always be one sided.

I watched a lot of games over the last two weeks with the Saints being on Monday and Sunday night.
The pass interference calls seem to even out in most games except for the Saints because they never throw it downfield. Therefore in a closely called pass interference game (last two saints games) the calls are one sided because the Saints, Payton, and Brees allow them to be. Challenge the opponents on 3rd and long with a deep pass. Seems to work for both the Raiders and Packers.

Me and my buddy were talking about this during the game last night. The lack of stretching the field limits so many things for this offense.
You dont even need all pro deep threats because Meacham and Henderson opened up so much for Colston and company when this offense was its most lethal.
Its nice to have a running back that can catch 15 balls and get 150+ a game but that won't get you to where you wanna be in January.

Offensive efficiency rankings last 3 years:
2019 - 2nd
2018 - 2nd
2017 - 1st
Brees arm doesn't seem to be any weaker than last year. I think it's way too early to freak out about the offense

It's weaker. Might be too early but if we start 1-3 goodbye playoffs.

Shhhhh if Fluerty Girl hears that then they can’t sell Ref shirts to middle aged White women!

It does. He was still throwing 10-15yd range regularly last year. Maybe it's because Thomas is out and he doesn't trust the other parts yet but the air yards per under 5 yds is alarming.

If Joe Burrow was throwing less than 5 air yards per pass, we would be calling him a bust already.
Drew did amazing things for us, but clearly, we need to Ole Yeller him.
Unfortunately, Sean won't use the rifle.

Isn’t Harris fast enough to play that Meachem/Devery/Ginn role of taking the top off the D? I don’t see him used that way much, or maybe it’s happening and I’m just not seeing it?

Harris is fast as shite but he is only 5ft 6. Never seen him flash as a great route runner when he is in the game at WR

How did it do in the playoffs when teams weren’t afraid to play up and aggressive. I’ll trade a bit of efficiency for being multi dimensional any day.

He’s too small and it’s not like they’ll respect it if he has to run back 15 yards to catch the ball anyway

2017: 1-1 lost on a defensive lapse
2018: 1-1 lost on a missed DPI
2019: 0-1
2018: 1-1 lost on a missed DPI
2019: 0-1

Was just arguing this point with friends. Drew seems to have to load up for any throw over 10 yards and just wont pull the trigger. Its sad and a huge reason we can't win the close ones this year.

Right and outside of the WC game in 2017 scored 20, 20,20, 23 and 20. You can frame the loses however you want but we weren’t exactly an offensive juggernaut.

Guess not... I'm done arguing about it. I'm just gonna hope the offense starts to produce like they have the last 3 years. Maybe they won't, and all the crying here will be justified.
