Bring Peat and Cam Erving back TODAY. Move Saldiveri back to RT. Get ready for OL 14 & 45.

Obviously you don’t want those guys as you’re starting LT and RT all season but both did play well last year when thrown in there and you have to have a backup plan. We can’t count on Penning when he was even benched from being the tackle eligible guy as the 6th OL like Strief used to be. Saldiveri was a 3 year starter at RT at Old Dominion so that’s his natural position. Then you also have Landon Young who played well before getting hurt. None of these are ideal options but unless we plan to go OL at both 14 and 45 I don’t see another way. 14 now no question has to be the best OL on your board regardless which side they play on and then you let the rest of the guys fight it out. If we get Fashanu then have Peat and Penning battle for LG and Erving, Young and Saldiveri fight for RT. If it’s JC Latham (who is my preferred pick) and he can’t make the switch to LT then you have a plug and play RT day 1 for the next decade and you hope Penning actually takes the LT spot but it’s most likely Peat at LT with a bunch of other guys fighting Hurst for LG who was terrible there last season. It’s a shite sandwich all the way around with Ramcyzk’s career likely over now and will be hard to solve in one draft with just 2 picks above round 5 but here we are. Another option is if Fashanu is gone at 14, take Latham then do all hell to trade up from 45 to late 1st or early 2nd and take someone like Jordan Morgan or Graham Barton who are 2 guys I think are being majorly slept on

Believe me I wish I could. Maybe when I’m 65 and retired. the FAA tends to frown on pilots getting stoned.

I’m kind of surprised they haven’t re-signed Erving. I can’t imagine there’s a big market for him and he played well at RT. Agreed not what you want to count on as a starter but veteran insurance most definitely.

Peat, IMO the longer it goes the more I like our chances of resigning him.

No way in Hattie’s they draft OL at 14 and 45. Maybe one of those and a 5th but no not 1st and 2nd rounds.

Was he just a gigantic miss or was he injured last season?

He wasn't a top pick from a big school and it looks like he is being asked to switch from Tackle to Guard. So maybe a bust yeah I guess.

Saldiveri was a 4th round pick. He was never expected (by the staff) to come in and win a starting job. He did get a little nicked up but overall he’s a developmental player and we should see more of him this training came and season.

The Saints braintrust hasn’t been doing too well of late picking OL guys in the draft. That’s the biggest reason we are in a bind.

I have no faith they will get a top OL in this draft. Why would I?

Kicking can down road, the can is at cliff now. Saints have no OT on team. They have to draft 2 OT for those positions. Saints are in very bad position. I don't think they can recover from this. DA and Loomis should have been replaced.
