@God_Son80
1/2 Reality behind all this is I came back to play in the best shape of my life, I got hurt week 2 with a high grade MCL Sprain,Partial quad tear and bone bruise. Then came back way to early and ended up staying hurt the entire season. You never heard me mention anything about it

It just doesn’t make sense from a financial perspective. We moved up for a WR so he’s the other guy opposite Thomas. I feel just fine going into the season with Callaway, Tre’Quan Smith and Harty battling for that 3rd WR spot. You’d be paying Jarvis $15 mil a year to be your WR2 pushing the guy you just traded up twice for to get. If his market doesn’t develop and he wants to take a discount or maybe just a 1 year deal and then hit free agency again I would be ok with that but we just can’t pay him market value when we have guys like McCoy, CGJ, Onyemata, Harty and Davenport coming into the last year of their deals.

Agree. We’re only signing Jarvis if he takes a huge pay cut and I don’t see that happening
Juice needs to get his money while he can

I would consider him at 1/3rd of that.

Exactly. If he would play for 1 year, 5 mil...I'd do it. We had around 18 mil in cap space, & that doesn't include signing our draft class & Mathieu.
He, literally, has to give us a good discount if he wants to play here. His market value is more than what our remaining cap space will be.

I thought that was a done deal

While I’d love to see Jarvis play for the Saints, I’m
pretty sure I’ve read reports that said he was seeking $20 million a year, the Browns let him slide because they were gonna owe him $16 million. I think he’s a good WR2 but I don’t think he is worth $16 nor $20 million a year.
