Well, when you get asked about racism and you talk about the flag, then that proves you to be tone deaf and the teammates should be mad at him.

He is just as entitled to his opinion as MT is. MT needs to be respectful.

Nope. It’s his honest opinion and it is his American right to express however he feels about any situation. Because you and I both know the fools who started all of this does not mind expressing their opinion on wanting to burn the American flag to the ground or other foolish racist comments..... But I forgot that is ok for them to do it.

He was specifically asked about players kneeling for the anthem. When you make a comment without reading the quote you should be mad at your self.

The interviewer actually prefaced his question asking about the anthem protests. He didn't say, "what do you think about racism?"

You need to try harder when you push misinformation.

Okay, you're right. I watched it prior to the comment. Still tone deaf especially when it's been prefaced more than needed that it wasn't about disrepecting the flag smh.

Yea what you said doesn’t sound racist at all.

But I forget that is ok for y’all to call out a white man.
If I said that same thing about Micheal Thomas this whole site would explode.

He completely ignored what kneeling during the anthem actually meant and ignores that the rights his grandfathers fought for are actually not granted unilaterally right now.

The original purpose of Kneeling from Colin was he was not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.

His message was essentially that America is racist and the flag represents that. The flag reps American and American as a whole isn't racist. It is the least racist it has ever been.

My problem wasn't the kneeling for awareness, it was that it was during the Anthem. He could have organized it better and done it before the NA like the Cowboys did. It wasn't about us not caring about violence against black people.

We were deemed racist because we felt a certain way. It wasn't against the meaning or protests, it was against the way it was gone about. It felt disrespectful to the fallen.

People need to learn to see things from all viewpoints before designating others in negative ways.

ETA: Drew addressed what he was asked. He didn't add. Seems like some people are assuming his thoughts on our current situation. I would bet if he could do it before or after the National Anthem, he would kneel. I would. I don't get why it has to be Kneel or Flag but you can't have both.

Bad retort. The saints have a tone deaf QB and that's all it is. All he saw was flag disrespect and a story about his family, but failed to talk about the matter at hand. Wait, what am I doing? Why am I explaining this to y'all? I'm crazy as idk what

it's different if he said he doesn't agree with kneeling but understood why some chose to do it. Instead he said it's never right and talked about the military.

He either intentionally ignored how those protected rights are being consistently violated for some or really doesn't understand why people choose to kneel.
