No, I don't, which makes all this pointless. Even if he did have leverage he'd overpay.

I thought mickey did well on the 20 mill a year deal. Leveraged drew for all he could and still paid him accordingly.

You win. I know using stats, logic, or evidence when supporting an argument is a foreign concept to you. So I will try to stop holding it against you that you can not properly defend a single train of thought you have. I am using the word thought generously in this context.

Despite what the fools think now, Brees is actually slightly underpaid getting 20 mil/year with his production...considering the market.

It's the market that's absurd, not his contract.

We all know Loomis is going to get waxed in negotiations and pay top dollar at the very last minute.

Thats going too far I think.

There is zero leverage that Loomis or the other 31 teams would have. None.

You either as a org. stand by the contract, trade him or you cut him.
Being who Drew is thats all the options any team would have.
After that maybe you can work out a deal good for both parties.

Yeah I'm taking Drew at $30 mil over Osweiler at $18.

If Drew isn't available I'll roll with someone like McCown dirt cheap. No way I'm paying an unproven guy $18 mil. frick that.

It does take a while to figure out how many years we can afford to go 7-9.

I heard somewhere that the entire FO of the Texans are on their last legs so to speak so getting a project QB would do them no good in keeping their jobs so they had to roll the dice and try to find a immediate impact starter.

In other words they spent a sh!t load of the bosses money in a desperate one last chance attempt to save their jobs
