According to reports coming out of San Francisco with Saleh becoming the DC Stanley will be leaving. Wonder how his relationship was with Moore for him to basically switch roles from their chargers time.

Played for him in college. One of the most impressive coaches I’ve ever been around. Love the dude.

Moore running offense and Stanley running defense is a pretty damn good coaching team.

Has Staley done anything positive of note outside of that 1 year as DC of the Rams? Seems he's been a failure since

His Defenses weren’t great with LA. But I do think he’s a good defensive coach.

I understand that we think that, but is he?

This isn't like Dennis Allen who failed as HC for reasons like not being a leader of men (which Staley clearly isn't, either), because DA has done well as a DC for more than 1 year.

Staley had one really good year with LAR and has never replicated that. He's hated by Charger fans for being incompetent and I've seen shade thrown at him by 49er fans for this year (even though his role was minimal).

In that one magical year, he presented himself as everything you want in the modern coach, but it seems to have been all talk and nothing behind the words.
