Brady, Manning, Rogers, Bush and McCoy buying players gifts break NFL rules???

At what point do players buying gifts for other players break NFL rules? Maybe the Saints should have just bought guy’s expensive gift for good clean hits on opposing players. It seems to me that if a player buys a gift or gives cash to other players for performing their jobs; then this may very well break some NFL rules about additional compensation above and beyond their contract. I think the NFL (NO FUN LEAGUE) should put a stop to this behavior because it maybe viewed as paying players for during a job that they already get paid for doing and may put them over the salary cap. Like Brady buying 3 O-linemen new $50,000+ cars (Audi Q7 SUV) or Manning buying things from custom suites to watches for his guys. See links below for article that celebrate this type of behavior:

I don't think it matters if they got paid to hurt players (except the penalty would be more). According to the NFL report yesterday, you can't pay players for anything.

Payments were made for plays such as interceptions or fumble recoveries. All such payments are against league rules.
I guess the above statement would include OL giving good pass protection.

Exactly what I was thinking. These QB's are certainly breaking the rules and some of it is with much more monetary value than the Saints ever did.
Bunch of hypocrites...all of them.

I guess if a tiny "pot of $$$" wasn't on the line then the defensive players would just not go for that sack, interception, or forced turnover... nah.
Flawed thinking. Those guys are looking for stats whether there is $1000 pot on the line or not. They are all looking to raise their "stock" for the next contract. And you can bet if any of them have an open line at a QB, they are coming full throttle.
If they miss a sack or etc because they were trying to play the kinder gentler version of football, they all know they will be quickly replaced.
As for intentionally hurting players, there's plenty of yo-yo's in the league that do that already. Ndamukong Suh comes to mind.
