I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses not to come back this season even if he is reinstated.
Good one.

Does SP's return see a turnaround in Defense?
No, but it would mean more attention & attempts running the football which in return would lead to longer more time consuming drives. The turnaround there would keep the defense off of the field more. The team is getting killed in time of position & even with a better offensive performance yesterday, there still far too many 3 & outs.
Carmichael shows no commitment to the run nor does he show any creativity in designing run plays. The Saints offense is a pass first offense but since '08 when Payton wants his team to be physical he runs the football.
One of Payton's staples is to bring in a 3rd tackle at TE. So far this season I've yet to see Carmicheal go the 3 tackles. Payton also loves to use the fake on an end around to keep defenders on the outside from crashing in on the backside. Eventually Payton calls for the end around to show it to the defense but the fakes helps create a numbers advantage at the point of attack. Again, I have yet to see any of this used by Carmicheal.
Having Drew throw 40-50 times per game isn't a recipe for success but for some reason ole Petey can't see this. I'm beginning to believe he's trying to use this opportunity to establish his identity with this year's offense for personal gain & a future head coaching job instead of following Payton's blueprint & its hurting the team because of it.
The defense won't get better by a return by Sean Payton but because of Payton's game planning & play calling it can have an affect on the team's performance overall.

No, we have to rely on Spags to do that.

Why are you quoting me? I didn't say that. I quoted someone else & gave an answer to his bullshite quote.

Seriously?
I was too lazy to go find Bayou's dumb question.
I think everyone can see that you didn't post that question.
Ease up.

I wouldn't blame Carmichael for the poor ground attack. GB is stud against the run. We seem to always be playing catch up and we have a great pass Offense. It only makes sense to use it in such a situation. We averaged 2.4 yards per rush yesterday - why push that when you have a working pass game? Pierre is a killer RB when it comes to yards after contact. It wasn't working yesterday.
I heard a radio interview with Kromer and English (RB Coach). Each were asked specifically what it would take to get Ivory in - they both redirected their answers. We need Ivory's explosive and violent punch into the line.

Wrong. Green Bay had been giving up an average of 113 per game on the ground & around 4.4 per carry.
Carmicheal IS to blame because he shown a lack of commitment to the running game & a dedication to establish physical play upfront on the offensive line. Also Ingram hasn't played how most though he could play.

Green Bay sucks against the run.

He's being so quiet, kinda makes me think he knows something we don't. Add to that RG and the NFL could use some good publicity and reinstating Payton would show how "fair and merciful" RG and the league is. I'm not holding my breath or anything but I could see this potentially happening.

It's not like it will matter at that point. We're not getting Payton back until Goodell is sure we can't make the playoffs.

Well how about this? Maybe the defense would get better. Maybe some of those guys would put forth more effort if Sean was there. Its kinda like when you had a substitute teacher you would half arse do shite, well maybe we are getting half effort because right now there is no consequences to doing so. Just a thought.
