Brees or "big play" Willie Clay? Discuss.

Brees will be the best QB in Saints history no matter what the Archie Manning salad tossers will say. Of course they have to remove his cock from their mouth to say it.

I don't know how you argue with Brees being the best ever. Not only is he the best ever on the field, but his love for the city makes him "the man" in my book.

I agree with this. Long live the "City Champ!" Rickey Jackson is definitely the best player ever to wear a Saints uniform. /Thread.

You are the biggest douchebag on this board. Go back to posting your drivel on the Rant and fricking sheep in the barn.Above all, stop calling yourself a Saints fan.

I don't own a barn been to a barn or seen a sheep in real life.

This is the one I don't understand. Are you saying I can only be a Saints fan if I like Archie Manning? If so that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. The man has not been under center for the Saints for at least 28 years, yet you think the only way to be a Saints fan is to like him.

Now, that's funny. It would be even funnier if you had put Fred Thomas, or Jason David in there somewhere.

God knows, you can always get a laugh out of Saints fans by just mentioning David's name...I know I do.

I have to go with Brees, not only as a Saint, but also as one of the best qb's ever in history. People are still sleeping on him and it's a shame because he has lifted the whole franchise and carried them and put up crazy numbers even without a "D".

Definitely Brees, although Deuce has to go down as maybe the best rb we ever had and had he overcome the injuries his stats would have backed him up.

Wow. By "one of," do you mean in the top 3? 5? 25? I agree with you on his place in Saints history, but if you mean the entire NFL, then dem's strong words... maybe one day, for sure. But not yet.

Rogers?
Hilliard?
Muncie?

Same would be said about Bo Jackson, but as it turned out... it's pure conjecture.

That's almost impossible to answer. Comparing positions and era in which players played creates improper comparisons.

I'd prefer to to compare players at their positions. For example: Ricky Jackson was the best LB to ever wear Black & Gold...period.
Tommy Meyers was the best DB to wear a Saints jersey. Dalton Hillard was the best RB...and so on.

All of these guys brought credibility to the team during their careers.

The best QB to ever don a helmet with the fleur-de-lis is Brees. Even after only 4 years with the team, Brees has climbed the ladder to the top. He doesn't lead all of the QB stats, but he has accomplished more than any other QB in the 42 year history of the franchise. How many Championship games did Manning, or Brooks (Man, I hate even mentioning his name) get us to. End of discussion.
