Yep. Plus, this allows Vaccaro to get in nickel down by the LOS much more which I like. He'll basically moonlight as a CB. I don't trust much of anything behind Lewis and Breaux so that should help overall quite a bit.

Kinda, but Bell actually compares favorably with Kenny. He's good in man coverage and can play down in the slot or over a tight end which is how Vaccaro really stood out his rookie year.

It has to do with Vacarro in terms of letting him stay inside the box where he is better and doesn't have to cover deep where he is horrible. Byrd is also not a deep coverage safety because he has great instincts but not great speed/range. People will say safety wasn't a need but it certainly was.

Byrd was absolutely a deep, centerfield player before his knee injury. He'd play 20-25 yards off the ball in Buffalo because he had the range to make up ground underneath

He hasn't been that here, but that's what they gave him all that money to do.

back to back TJ Green, then Sean Davis... little bit of a run.
had to pay the price and get back in there before someone else took the last gem.
hate paying the 4th.. but looks like they valued safety more than we thought.

Vonn was projected as high as the first round at times... I don't think anyone had him off their top 50 boards.

LANDON in the 5th! get our Guard.. and wrap this bitch up...

$14M of which is dead cap over the 3 outer years on his contract. If your theory is right, what a disaster by this FO.

They could've got a cover safety in the 3rd or 4th without sacrificing picks IMO. He'll have to improve his tackling.

It is unbelievable how big of a bust Byrd has been. I was so excited about the signing.

Right, what I'm trying to say is that he hasn't been what we wanted him to be. I would love to see Vaccarro around the line/slot area and Byrd in the 15-20 yard range with Bell playing over the top.

Saints feel like they are walking away w 3 first round picks out of their 4 picks. Best WR in draft and arguably best 3tech tackle w interior rush

Although you're slightly trolling, there's a lot of truth to that post actually Chadwick

I have to agree with this post. All three are first round talents at positions of need. We targeted Safety, and Byrd is working out so I know it's a need.

Obviously not the best wr in the draft but he's in the top of the next group and fits what we need. Big body who goes up and gets the ball over tight coverage.

Sean has given up on the legion of boom horse shite. He's actually going after people who can cover.
