guaranteed money is much less. If he sucks in 2024 dead cap number in 2025 is $29M and $9M in 2026.

So theyre stuck with Baker until 2026 minimum. Got it lol.

Mayfield’s deal is essentially a 2 for $60mil given the guarantees in the first two seasons These Carr retards will try and convince you that this makes his contract palatable

Hmm. So 30 million per year is your claim?

Drastically different from Carr? No.

Flip flop all you want Karens, you all predicted Baker would get pennies, and everyone told ya’ll to shut up because mid tier qb’s get paid.

The cap jumped $30 mil this season bubba. $100 mil this year is not the same as $100 mil last year

We’re talking about Carr getting 33.33$ mill a year and Baker getting 33.33$ mill a year. And Kirk getting 45$ mill a year.

This comment is pointless.

And if you want to call Baker’s contract a 2 for 60 thats $30 mill per year.

I’ll take Carr over Baker all day with these numbers.

Especially considering 25/10 tds/ints is a career year for Baker snd average year for Carr (literally).

$33.3 mil on a $224.8 mil cap occupies 14.8% of your cap space (Carr)

$33.3 mil on a $255.4 mil cap occupies 13% of your cap space (Baker). Nearly 2 points is substantial

11.7% if you take Baker at the $30 mil. Geno’s deal last year was 11.1%

There’s nuance to it but the money is not the same. There’s nothing pointless about it

Near retard levels of dumb/spin.

There is no question that the flock of Karens on here were crying about how the Bucs got Mayfield for pennies and insisted he would be a cheap resign.

Spin it however you want Mayfield got paid and it was obviously about to happen because mid tier qb’s get paid.

Correct. Which is a career year for Baker. And why as a low mid tier qb he is now getting over 30 mill a year.

You think taking a rising salary cap into equation when discussing contracts is a spin

It is. Far cry from what was predicted by the Karens. Baker got paid 30 million yearly ($33.33 average same as Carr), folks whining about Carr can shut up now yourself included.

If you had half a brain, you could conclude that the Saints also benefit from the rise in salary cap, and that the Saints/Bucs are both paying Carr/Baker next year under the same salary cap for 2024.

But I dont think you have half a brain.

Every team benefits from the increase in cap

That has nothing to do with your inability to equate the value of these contracts
