we ran very well with pierre thomas last year, unfortunately payton didn't commit to running consistently.
and even better this year.

before this season brown had missed 5 games in 4 years. INJURY PRONE.

when you run more you get better at it as it requires being in a groove for olinemen.

no it's not, adding quality depth is an essential part of building a good football team. with a 16 game schedule you need quality depth.
Bushrod is quality depth. Him and Strief have been extremely serviceable for us this year. But we also need better quality depth at the Center position, Quarterback position, Cornerback position, Linebacker Position, Safety position, Fullback position, Defensive Tackle position, even Defensive End we're pretty damn thin and marginal. Let's just not stop at Bushrod now, let's call out the entire fricking team.

oh, so if you get more carries, your ypc is guaranteed to go up. are you bill parcells?

Wasnt the knock on him coming out of OK was that he'd be alright for about 6 years before cronic knee/back problems would begin?
just asking.
just asking.

never said he's been injury prone but he has chronic issues with his knees and its too risky to shed out a long term premier LT contract to him IMO.

only jenkins has caused as much damage as bushrod and that's only been true recently.
ayodele and hargrove have filled in admirably, gay played fairly well, young was solid at STL, etc. for the most part we have quality depth and that's why we're 13-1. unfortunately we don't have it at LT.

i didn't say it was guranteed to go up but it helps the o-linemen. olinemen are at their best in run blocking when they can get in a groove, running 35% of the time doesn't accomplish that. it's no surprise that PT has been better, Bell has been solid, and Bush's YPC rose.

That's hilarious. To say Hargrove has played admirable and throw Bushrod under the bus... thats as agenda driven as i've ever seen. Gay has had just as many horrible games as he's had "decent" games... oh the game against St.Louis...

Oh, the groove philosophy... so maybe when the olineman are getting in this run blocking groove... it takes away from their pass blocking groove...

brown is great but bushrod is not even servicable. he faced julius peppers with a broken hand and unmotivated giants d-line and people wanted to crown him.
He has done well this season, Brown used to get burnt too. Your a dumbarse, we are 13-1. Bushrod is the starting Left tackle for a 13-1 football teamn, that has not given up many sacks this year.
Shockey was out, and he is one of the best blocking te's in FB, we probably should have given Bushrod more help with Ware and Spencer.

We can go over some rushing stats on our D as of late and our passing D has went to the shitter since Porter and Greer went down.
hargrove was brought in to be a situational pass rusher at the 3-tech, he's done fairly well considering he is undersized.
say what you want about gay but we've struggled since he has been nicked up and we've depended more on mckenzie/jenkins.

and bushrod was here to be a backup, not a starter too. He's done fairly well considering he's supposed to be on the bench.

Yes, your performance generally does get worse when you go down the depth chart. It's a novel concept.

not surprising that this doesn't make sense to some 120 pound fairy who does makeup.

bushrod was our 2nd LT, hargrove was our 4th DT behind ellis, ayodele, and clancy. and he's situational at that. not comparable.

it's also a novel concept to find a decent LT as a backup.
hell, carolina plugged in a LG at LT and a backup RT the other day and still dominated minnesota's dline. no reason we can't add quality depth on the line either.
