abraham abused him a few weeks back, not so much on MNF. trent cole also had a sack and a few hits on brees, he had one where i was wondering if brees would get up.

nah, he's just been bailed out a lot by brees' pocket presence and the blocking of our guards up front. drew can step up.

He's held his own on lesser opponents and he has been meh against better competition. But it happens to most tackles. There are very few elite tackles who can block on island all night against a good pass rush and be successful.

I just think you are blowing this way out of proportion. You making him sound like he hasnt been serviceable. Is he good, no. Is he horrendous, no. Am i worried about it? yes. But, Payton knows its a weakness against good rushers and he will have to game plan for it.

Fwiw, I dont disagree with your concern but i think Bushrod has played as well as i expected being a backup and a mid round pick. Hopefully Bushrod will play better and Payton will give him help if needed.

You're an idiot. Was the Cowboys game the first one you've watched this year?

This. Bushrod did not have a very good game against Dallas, but to say he is the worst offensive lineman the Saints have ever had is just ridiculous. Bushrod's play overall has been solid considering his lack of playing time before this season. You cannot allow one bad performance to color his entire season.

Demarcus Ware is an elite pass rushter and has made a lot of left tackles look bad. Bushrod is no exception.

Sorry but this is the same type of threads they had about Brown last year. Brown has the same problem..Last year he was getting dicked by John Abraham. When tackles or left on island with elite pass rusher is very difficult to keep them out of the backfield.

If you dont chip or help its going to happen. Its happened to Brown, Bushrod, Strief, if you watched the vikings game sunday it happen to an all-pro Bryant Mckenie (sp). Peppers destroyed him. It happens to just about all tackles.

Giving Bushrod help was on Payton. I love Payton, but no coach is perfect. One of Paytons biggest problems is hes always to late to make adjustment on chips and getting the tackles help. But at least in Payton defense having shockey as late scratch didnt allow us to use the 2 TE set that we use a lot. And that set helps our blocking.
