he's comparing drew's seasons to drew's seasons. But its ironic that he's also having his best season since ETA:well... EVER.

my concern is with injury not performance, i cringe when brees is hit.

rodgers is getting sacked on literally every play but he's having a great season, GB fans probably worry about the toll it will/could take in the form of an injury.

Boy, I bet you'll never have this written about what you write.

nah, i'm actually looking pretty good for defending will smith and the offensive line in the preseason.

i'll probably be bumping this thread soon when we win in the playoffs despite a mosnter performance by matthews/allen/ware,etc.

really, the Saints are 13-1 and you are blasting a back up lineman. Which one is it. Quit being a woman and make up your mind.

i only defend those worthy of it

i've always been one of the most positive posters here, even last year, so labeling me as pessimistic or a debbie downer is dumb.

Sorry but this is the same type of threads they had about Brown last year. Brown has the same problem..Last year he was getting dicked by John Abraham. When tackles or left on island with elite pass rusher is very difficult to keep them out of the backfield.

If you dont chip or help its going to happen. Its happened to Brown, Bushrod, Strief, if you watched the vikings game sunday it happen to an all-pro Bryant Mckenie (sp). Peppers destroyed him. It happens to just about all tackles.

Giving Bushrod help was on Payton. I love Payton, but no coach is perfect. One of Paytons biggest problems is hes always to late to make adjustment on chips and getting the tackles help. But at least in Payton defense having shockey as late scratch didnt allow us to use the 2 TE set that we use a lot. And that set helps our blocking.

FWIW, i only read like 4 pages of this thread.

whodatfan says Yes Bushrod has been serviceable for us. I spared him 14 pages of misery.

we've seen enough of brown to know there is mostly good with some bad. kind of the reversal with bushrod.

peppers played with a broken hand:

quote:

CHARLOTTE -- Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers was able to play, but not nearly as much as they needed, or as effectively, Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins.

Peppers, who broke his right hand two weeks ago in New Orleans, was again limited to mostly passing downs.

What about when he went against Trent Cole? John Abraham (you know the guy who dicked brown all day last year)? The Giants Dline?

In the NFL you are goin to have some bad games. Every player does. Brees, Manning, AP...it happens you cant be good all 16 games. Bushrod has been serviceable. But, got beat numerous times against Dallas and Payton didnt make an adjustment to help.
