I don't think this will happen. I like Devery and I think he is a good #3. Getting in the slot, running deep routes, all that good stuff. But Lance Moore is obviously better than Devery IMO. To the people saying L. Moore is a system guy, did you people see Moore last year? He was making crazy catches. He got anything that came around him ( a bit of an exaggeration, but you get my meaning )

Lester, you are a fricking dumbass fricking idiot. Oh, I didn't know that you were a shoe in at all the practices, OTAs, workouts, etc. Who the frick are you to say what Devery is or isn't capable of doing? He was markably better last year and ran much more than just "go routes". You and your bullshite can take a hike. His hands are excellent and he was catching pretty much everything thrown at him last year. All reports from camp have him surprising everyone, running sharp, crisp routes and welding his hands to the ball. So, frick you for being such a negative dickwad who hasn't a clue about Saints football, much less life in general. I hate you more than I have ever hated anyone and I wish you would just vaporize. Loser. Eat shite. frick off.

Oh, and who gives a rats arse who Drew's throwing to. As long as we're moving the ball, it is irrelevant. You are trying to make it relevant when it obviously is not. Breaking down catches and who YOU want to see thrown to. That is some lame arse shite right there. Now, in the red zone/end zone on a jump ball, we know who it should be, but in between the 20s, bitch please.

Henderson would start for 75% of the teams in the league.

dude, come on.

that is one of the craziest things I have ever read on this board. 75%???

maybe 10%.

Moore is just a system guy thats it.

maybe, but we are talking about our system.

Henderson can only catch a go route. So it prob evens out.

But Moore could definitely find a spot on a team easier than Henderson.

Dont get me wrong; Henderson is a weapon. He has his role. That's to go deep 2-3 times a game.

If Drew doesn't care then why should we. He sticks it in between the numbers of whoever's capable of getting onto the field. I wonder if "the undrafted practice squad receiver" gives a rat's arse if Lester cares if he's ranked 1st, 2nd, or 3rd on the depth chart.

do you watch the games?

that could tell you a lot.

Do you think he only catches 30 balls a year because he is some secret stud waiting to be unleashed?

the proof is right there in the numbers. He's limited as a WR. Which is why he catches 30 balls a year. Which is why his YPC is 20+ yards. Because all he does is catch the deep ball, which is opened up by all the other stuff our offense does underneath.

I didnt say anything about his hands. He improved his drops from the year before, and only caught 12 more balls.

i didnt start this thread jackass. Only commenting on it. Im not trying to make anything relevant, jsut stating the facts. Deal with it.

No thats who Payton and Brees want to throw too. Thats whose hands they want to put the ball in. Look at the numbers Saintard.

yall cant have a discussion about a player in a thread that bares his name???

wow, i knew this board was full of Saintards, but come on.

It's a fricking discussion. Why are you figs taking it personal?

Better than a circle jerk of Saintards Mouth, whotdatfan and others talking about some stupid sig pics. frick

Like I said i like Devery for what he is. If he steps up and catches 70 balls, ill be as happy as anyone. Thats not likely though

You're looking at it backwards.

Half of his game is stretching the field. His ability to make the safeties think "Oh shite" once he's 10 yards off the line of scrimmage is what opens up the underneath stuff. Not vice versa. If someone else could do that he'd get more chances to develop his intermediate route running which really isn't that bad in the first place. But he has to fill the "deep threat" role because no one else can. If Meachum wasn't such a disappointment he'd most certainly be your "#2WR" by now.

Don't try to skew what I said, cum breath! You felt the need to rank all of the receivers in the order you prefer to see getting an alloted amount of catches. You mentioned Colston, Moore, Bush, and Shockey.

Ya know I don't ever frick with you 'cause every time I read a thread you post in it's like watching a retarded kid getting picked on in PE and I feel sorry for you. Can't you imagine there's a reason every time you post here that you're the odd man out.

Hey Lester,

I take issue with the notion of Devery being the number 2 receiver and then you start talking about Reggie and Shockey. I think those are seperate outside of the receiver category. It really comes down to Devery and Moore being 2 vs 3 in the receiving category (assuming wr's only)

Or Devery's deep threat has helped opened up more of the underneath and giving Reggie and the Moore's of the world more room to run around underneath when the team has to keep a safety over devery going deep.

That's saying a lot

Lester, the bottom line is we will see this year. That's all I'm saying. We will see. However, Devery had alot of YAC in those stats. So say he has a 65 yard reception. He didn't run 65 yards, turn around, and immediately get tackled. He gained alot of yards after the catch on some intermediate catches and crossing routes. I saw it first hand as I attend every home game and have a party for every away game. Thank you, that is all.

Oh, and you saying I am not respected around here is comical. I believe it is the other way around.

I see everyone here trying to respect everybody. However, there are a few that come here and speak negative upon everything everyone posts ...ahem!Lesterahem.... For the most part, we have good conversations.....so, if I'm in the circle jerk, then so be it, but it seems all you do, Lester, is be negative. Its difficult to respect that in any aspect.

All the name calling aside, I think it is Moore, Bush, etc. who open up the deep routes for Devery, not the other way around. Just what I think, not trying to call anyone names or anything for a difference of opinion.

so what? i cant rank who i think should touch the ball first?

its not just my opinion. Look at their catches; Payton and Brees hold the same opinion.

are you people really this stupid?

Negative? in what way besides arguing with these idiots who do not make any sense and think we'll put all 22 starters in the Pro Bowl???

I love the Saints. If anyone is an eternal optimist, it is me. But i also know where to draw the line.

Like i said 3 times, i love Devery for what he is. Im not trying to make him into anything other than a #3 WR and a deep threat.

thats being real, not negative.

They are. Which is why i classified them as options and not WR's.

they are both bigger focal points in our offense than Devery, even when the ball is in the air(Bush)

No. You are stupid. The question was, "Anyone surprised at how Devery has come around?" Answer it. We are saying that he has improved his game and could very well take the 2 spot. That is it. You don't agree, fine. But all that, Payton and Brees say it's so shite is ridiculous. Brees spreads the ball around. Deverys numbers were less because he was #3 on the depth chart so obviously he will have less catches. We/coaches/teammates are saying his game has markably improved and he is looking sharp in camp. He has the chance to be #2. That is it. Will he be? Who knows, but if he is good enough, why do you have to be such an arse frick about it. If he plays opposite Colston and plays well, why the hell are you against it? That is why everyone thinks you're a frickstick. Cause of shite like that.

Peace
