As I said earlier, I'd pick Moore over Henderson, but that's besides the point. I'm not sure why some people are attacking Moore so much. I don't see Lester attacking Henderson, just saying why he think Henderson isn't cut out for the job, while he might attack the person who said it. But some people are attacking Moore. This is ridiculous. Moore is your possession receiver. Of course he won't have the highest ypc average. Someone said that and yards are the most important stats, but I'd say yards per game and tds are very important, which Lance does have more of. Not bashing Devery cause I do like him, just saying why I think Moore is better.

Moore
ypg 58
td 10

Henderson
ypg 50
tds 3

Now you can use the excuse that Henderson didn't play as much, which is true. But his role is deep threat. It isn't possession or over the middle, etc. The deep threats are almost always going to have better ypc, but that doesn't mean they are better. If Payton thought Henderson would be better as no.2/possession guy, then he'd put him there. I don't know what Payton's reasons are for not putting Devery at 2, but mine would be he doesn't have consistent enough hands. Sure he'll catch the 40 yard bomb, but then he'll drop the 5 yard first down. These coaches know more than us, so they put players at certain positions for a reason.

Lance Moore didn't drop a pass in 2008?

Oh I know he did, but Devery just seems to do it more often. And I saw where someone (maybe you?) put the stat up that Devery only dropped like 2 or 3 passes last season, but that really just doesn't seem right. I seem to remember him dropping more.

Well you can seem to remember whatever you like. Devery was greatly improved last year.

Isn't it harder to catch the 20 yard pass than the 6 yard pass?

Boom mother fricking boom all day long.

Ask Devery. He sure seems to drop more short than long passes.

You can twist what I say if you want, but you have to know Devery drops more short than long passes. So for him, it obviously isn't easier to catch short passes.

I seem to remember Devery dropping very few balls and made a lot of difficult catches and had an incredible ypc efficiency as well as a first down efficiency.
