In the end, Drew Brees will determine who to trust throwing it more to as the season progresses
I agree. I think Drew trusts Colston and Moore the most though. Probably Bush for receiving, too

I am looking forward to finding that out

Hard to find wrs who catch basically everything thrown their way, too. I think we benefit much more from Moore than from Devery.
fair enough. but, who the hell was Lance Moore before Paytons coaching/offense and playing with Drew Brees? nobody, that's who. Send Lance to San Fran or Detroit and tell me he has the same year he had last. i'll bet you Payton can easily replace a Lance Moore before he can Henderson. Now Henderson being #1? bit of a stretch there. I just feel he's developed his game beyond the bombs. That's all. to each his own though. good points. Harder to replace big, strong recievers (Colston) and lightning fast deep threat recievers (Henderson) than 10-15 yard possession recievers with good hands. you can teach that shite to an extent if a guy has good work ethic.
ETA- thanks for holding a civilized conversation about the subject. it's been a little ridiculous here today with a few nuckleheads looking for a shouting match.

I don't remember much out of Devery before Peyton either. I could be wrong though.

I just responded over there. It's in the sticky up top here. The one about the schedule. Look a page or so back. It's there.
By the way, you make me laugh way too hard everyday. You aint afraid to post anything that puzzles you and it makes the day go by alot easier.

I'll take that. Not every guy just walks into the league and pulls a Colston. He's come along way and I didn't mean to take anything away from Moore. I think Payton/Brees make everyone on this offense way better. Hell, I'm probably screaming Lance's name louder than anyone in the dome on Sundays. Hell, I love what he has accomplished for us and I hope nothing changes. But to have Devery better than what he was last year only benefits us on the field and I like to hear that. Gets me pumped.

I do love Devery, don't get me wrong. He just irritates me because he can't make short catches. It'll mess up his ypc average if he does
Lance is probably in my top 3 favorite Saints right now. Or top 5 at least. I'd have to think about it

This will be my last post. The whole thread was fine, but you chimed in with this nugget first to derail the thread
quote:
you are so fricking stupid. this statement proves you are a dumbass.
then, followed it up with such gems as
quote:
Lester, you are a fricking dumbass fricking idiot.
quote:
Who the frick are you to say what Devery is or isn't capable of doing? He was markably better last year and ran much more than just "go routes". You and your bullshite can take a hike.
quote:
So, frick you for being such a negative dickwad who hasn't a clue about Saints football, much less life in general. I hate you more than I have ever hated anyone and I wish you would just vaporize. Loser. Eat shite. frick off.
Your actions, in turn, turned this thread to complete shite, and quite frankly you suck up this whole board with your 3rd grade analysis and insults.
If you simply practice what you preach and keep up with the flow of the conversation instead of inserting the BS mentioned above, this thread had some potential. But once you start your usual rhetoric, you're asking for pissing matches between LE and others.
It's 2009. People can have different opinions. When one states Devery isn't a #2 for the Saints, you could present the facts to back up your argument that he could be a number. No need for cursing. No need for name calling.
If you're truly 35, then I feel sorry for your family. I'd be embarrassed by your actions which are littered throughout this board.
Good luck, whodatfan.

Wow all this nonsense over a discussion over who the #2 receiver is? Everyone knows it's J.Shock anyway

Actually, if you want to go back and look at who threw the first salvo, it would be this:
quote:
if Devery is our #2, we are fricked
He could have been more civil about it, but he chose an inciteful statement. I don't know about you but I would have worded it more respectfully

but keeping moore over devery? no
you are the ultimate homer, LSU and Saints. Put your ranter and Saintard powers together and the world would blow up.
and this, of course, by your definition, is being negative....picking one player over another
you're a clown and have no credibility

Devery has only 5 more catches in the last 3 years than Moore had last year.
if Payton made Moore, when is he gonna make Devery?

that was an insult directed to which one of these idiots, exactly?
inciteful? Grow up if you cant get over something so eloquently put.
