Anybody miss the Saints 90s midfield and end zone designs?

I played on that mid-late 90s turf a few times in HS. That turf gave some nasty strawberries. I do miss the full color end zones.

The Saints have had the same plain, unoriginal, BORING field design for every fricking game in the Superdome for over 20 years now. That's longer than any field design that any team has had in the Super Bowl era. Imagine it - a team from NEW ORLEANS setting records for unoriginality. It's horrifying.

What's more, we routinely neglect to wear some of the most unique and striking uniforms in the history of the sport to instead wear comically bad leotards with no stripes or flair (both black and white combos). It's downright sinful to have such a beautiful colour like olde gold to be a part of your team's identity and then not celebrate it and utilize it tastefully at every opportunity. It's akin to cooking without any salts or seasonings.

I thank the OP for making this thread. I pray one day soon we'll see some fun things happening aesthetically.

That's the only time Doug Thornton allowed a coloured endzone - he is so fricking lazy and fights the Sugar Bowl every year on green endzones because its "too difficult" to remove coloured paint from endzones (no matter that dozens of stadiums across the nation do it with zero issue). He wouldn't even do it for multiple LSU championship games. His wife is a huge count and they hate NO.
