Personally I think the Manning's could do a lot of good. Now they wouldnt be sole owners, just like Jordan, Jay-Z, and Magic are not the sole owners of their respective clubs. They could entice prospective owners if they threw their backing behind them and could buy a stake within the club. Especially since we probably don't know the true value of the Manning's including investments and what not.

I can get behind that idea I guess. I'm behind anyone that keeps the team here. I've just never seen any indication from the manning's that they'd be interested in doing this.

If the team was to be sold, one guy I would love to see own the team is Mark Cuban. He's been very vocal about owning another professional franchise and I think he would keep the team here.

Me either but it is obvious they enjoy New Orleans and Louisiana. I believe Eli and Peyton have houses in the city (correct me if I am wrong) still and then you have Archie with his business ventures in the city.
They love the spotlight and Peyton could move into some type of roll within the organization to get his footing. I mean remember Elway didn't start as the GM of the Broncos, he started off as executive vice president of football operations. Peyton obviously has some business sense and I think if he did this route he would take it serious and learn as much as possible about the position. That he would dedicate himself to being successful like he did as a player.

He'd have to sell the Mavs before the NFL could approve him buying the Saints.

I may be wrong, but how does Mr. Benson own the Pels and the saints? Is it not possible?
