It's the same thing. Underachieving with a decent roster, dissension in the locker room, players publicly showing their dislike for him, etc. Why was Gayle so quick to pull the trigger on SVG but with Dennis the FO is just sitting around with their dicks in their hands jacking each other off for going 9-8? It's a disgrace!

At least SVG led the Magic to the Finals one time. If by some miracle Allen would have won the division he would have publicly apologized and conceded the title to the Falcons or Bucs.

ETA: And I am strictly using this comparison for their underachievement with the Pels/Saints and their dissension with their players

Not even close. Dennis Allen has been with the Saints organization a combined 11 years now. They have a solid pulse on what DA is or isn't. Now i'm not trying to say we shouldn't move on from DA soon but they are not going to treat him like a rag doll and lets be honest, this roster had some flaws. DA could have done things better this year. We should have been a playoff team. It's partly on coaches, its partly on players. I'm thinking the front office will be expecting a playoff team next year. That is the most reasonable approach.

I agree with you about their relationships in their organizations not being similar, but their performances have been

Plain and simple Allan is a piece of shite coach, who is nothing more than a defensive coordinator at best

DA is trending in the better direction. The Carr situation has seemed to settled in and their performance improved greatly. All the while they did this in a year with Payton Turner being a non factor and Cam Jordan supposed ankle injury also being a non factor. There are parts of the roster needing over hauls and a culture change is always going to be issue with coaching changes.

I think Allen is more like Josh McDaniels. A very successful long-term coordinator (all things considered) for a way more successful coach, probably decent at X's & O's, but when put in a position to lead men as "the guy", doesn't resonate. Overall a culture negative. Now alienating players. It's a really good comparison. Cannot believe they're keeping him.

Dennis is like Ray Handley. If you don’t know who Ray Handley Is ask any NY Giants fan.

Last 5 games, the Saints beat the 2-15 Panthers, 6-11 Giants, blown out by the 10-7 Rams before a rally when the result was pretty much decided, beat the 9-8 Bucs who are a product of basically the same shitty schedule the Saints had, and the 7-10 Falcons.

Carr settled in after the pressure was off and the Saints were basically toast.

But, yeah, let's double down on Carr and Dennis Allen. Hell, let's bring back Pete Carmichael while we're at it.

Wrong. SVG has actually won in his league.

Except he actually won a playoff game. Allen can’t even get us there when it’s handed to him on a silver platter like this year.

With some decent play at QB from Carr this season they should have at least finished the season at 10-7 or 11-6, I think. Should have beat Green Bay, and could have beaten Jacksonville, Detroit, and Houston with better QB play. The first Atlanta game and Minnesota were possible too, but I won't go there. But both Carmichael's atrocious playcallin and Carr's QB play just made for terrible offense most of the season, but they were in all of those games.
