Allen was hired to maintain continuity. We were 9-8 with Trevor Semien at QB last year. This year we are 7-9 and will have a losing record.
We are bottom three in penalties this year.
We are bottom in turnover ratio.
We had an epic collapse against Tampa blowing a 16 point lead in 4 minutes.
Dennis Allen is a good coordinator and a bad head coach. He’s earned a pink slip.
Unfortunately he will be back again next year.

I’ll cut Allen some slack for going 7-9. We have had some horrific injury luck this year, played a journeyman qb in andy Dalton, and have ended 7-9.
Sean Payton went 7-9 four different times with a first ballot HOFer at QB, and somehow managed to do it 3 years in a row with peak Brees.
I don’t know if Allen will work out or not but I think 7-9 is about where this roster belongs given who was and was not available for most of this year.
