Falcons had nine first downs by penalty tonight, the most in an NFL game in 20 years. Great statistical dig by @GCIGreg

They are probably proud of the effort their team pulled together for.

ETA: I misread that tweet. I have the Broncos allowing 10 in a game against the Giants in 2013. And the Browns allowing 10 against the Cowboys in 2012
I will double check.
2nd ETA: LINK To Broncos - Giants Box Score Greg is wrong. Shame on Greg.

So 9 first downs by penalty, most in 20 years
A penalty to end the half taking away a field goal
And a penalty on the sideline to end the game
.... and we are supposed to believe there wasn’t any frickery? I’m just trying to imagine a game where we know for a fact the refs have an agenda, what would that look like? I really can’t picture something worse than tonight

Quit committing fouls and they quit calling.
List the ones that shouldn't have been called?

Roughing the passer
Halftime FG
End of the game
And a handful of defensive holding calls that the falcons were doing too, but let’s just say forget those. The first 3 easily decided the game
Now name me 1 call against Atlanta that shouldn’t have been called. Shouldn’t take long, there was only 4

Roughing the passer for starters. Even the commentators said that shite was weak.

Sean said the penalty at the end of the half is usually a warning especially since a backup was in.

Not even the penalties but did you notice they gave Atlanta two or three free play stoggages right before the half, one to look over a clear completion and another for complete bullshite reason

Falcons almost in FG range and have 2 TO's, and for some reason both Ryan and their bench goes brain dead and lets the clock run down to 12 seconds. So the refs decide to take it into their own hands, to "review" a clear completion, and charge Atlanta with a TO.
Or, as I wondered at the time, did someone in the NFL office decide to call time out for them? So fricking glad it backfired on them, but then they decided we couldn't have the FG we made after the pick.

Sometimes it's not so much as what is called, but what is equally called on both sides.
Most know that in football a penalty can be called almost every play. It's the refs job to evenly call it. How much shite was being called on the Saints but not equally on the Falcons? I'm guessing alot.

The saints offense simply wasn't on the field enough to get the calls because the offense sucked.

That literally doesn't make sense.

Drew's drive ending plays were short screens and one hoppers - how do you draw def holding?

Are you retarded? Your previous comment didn't make sense.
You can't just make another random comment & follow it up with question...that's not how conversations work.

One of the calls was a defensive holding call... on a running play. I don't think I've ever heard that called before. Of course, the fact that they stopped showing the replays of our penalties (that was one they never showed) made it even fishier.
