It wouldn't stop it, but now they owe him an extra 7.5 million for being on the roster. That's quite a chunk of change to eat on top of everything else. Unless of course he agrees to push it back for some reason. However, why agree to that? Especially if a team was planning to move you. I think I would want my bonus.
