D-Line & LB coaching looks like a big upgrade(especially LB). Also, the defensive depth on this years team is miles ahead of the past few years. We haven't had a hard test yet, but looking good so far.
Exactly, what Saints team has played this well defensively during pre-season. We're driving this ship home with a title.

Your definition of dominant is a little different from Webster's.

I hope you're right. I hope...

Saints just shut out the Houston Texans.
The biggest story of the 2017 NFL season is now the Defense of the New Orleans Saints! When you combine that Defense with the offense of Drew Brees, game over!

Browns are 2-0... Chargers won in dominating fashion too!
Top players at every position this time around on Saints Defense, this time they are more talented and have more quality depth at every position.
Announcers keenly noted how the Saints D-line is getting penetration in every game putting pressure on the QB and running-back.
Noting that the Saints linebackers are able to cover the run and pass equally well.
And that the secondary isn't getting beat, instead its beating the offensive player to the ball.

Texans had one of the NFL's hottest running offenses, it's what they do, Saints stopped them cold.
Can't believe, that on the eve of an historic event for the New Orleans Saints, which is the beginning of their Defensive Dynasty, the only a few people not clueless are the team's janitors and a few Tiger fanatics.

We'll see. By the end of this year those names may be Klein and PJ Williams

Don't understand all the pessimism about the Saints Defense, I see a great Defense growing right before our eyes.

Sporting News - New Orleans Saints
What we learned: The youth movement is quickly underway on defense, where three draft picks — cornerback Marshon Lattimore (first round), safety Marcus Williams (second) and linebacker Alex Anzalone (third) — started or played extensively Saturday. Two other rookies should have significant roles as well on offense: projecting starting left tackle Ryan Ramzcyk and running back Alvin Kamara, who has shined as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.\
What we don’t know: How much running back Adrian Peterson truly has left in the tank. Peterson received his first preseason touches since 2011 against Houston, but there wasn’t enough of a sample size to gage whether the future Hall of Fame selection is still special at age 32.

Saints Defense still looking like badasss's against Baltimore, still causing turnovers, D-line still creating pressure and chaos. This D is the Truth!

Saints keeping plenty of D-lineman, DB's and LB's, a lot of talent here, these were the hardest cuts to make.
