Bringing my 9 yr old to his first Saints game Sunday. Need helpful ideas for getting to the game/parking with a kid, been over twenty years since I've been to the dome.

make sure he wears a seatbelt and if he starts yapping when you're trying to park, back hand him.

Here is a thread recently on that subject. Just ignore Chad. He is PeeJay's mentally challenged step son.

-Make sure you get there early. I'd try 10am at least. It'll give you some time before the game starts.

-Also, try and get into the stadium early as well. Most people try to pack in at about 10 minutes til kickoff, and it makes it a pain in the arse to get in.

9 might be a little young for autographs but kids get a thrill outta that.

I'd say binoculars might be good for a youngster to get a better view of what monsters those guys out there are.

Park at lots on Canal St. near Claiborne (Quarter side). Easy access, departure. Watch traffic, crowds.
Walk to Poydras, Champions Square
Tailgating, music, vendors all down Poydras
Get into game early at Gate C when doors first open - hardly not wait.
Programs for sale on bottom of Poydras ramp to Champions Square.
