Random offseason thoughts- we have quietly accumulated a high number of 1st and 2nd rounders on offense and have few on defense.

Offense
Shough- 2nd
Etienne- 1st
Olave- 1st
Tyson- 1st
McCoy- 2nd
Banks- 1st
Fuaga- 1st
Ruiz- 1st
Fant- 1st
Polk- 2nd

Defense
Young- 1st
Breese- 1st
Wilson- 1st
McKinstry- 2nd
Werner- 2nd
Miller- 2nd

If my count is accurate that is 10 on offense and 6 on defense. If Cam comes back, the defense will have 7. Takeaways-
1. Interesting to consider how teams are constructed. Offensive head coach= talent accumulation on that side.
2. Defense definitely did more with less on defense. Hoping to do the same this year.
3. Free agency and draft next year will likely be heavy on defense.

Etienne was the 25th pick in the 1st round of the 2021 draft. Another 1st round pick on offense is Zach Wilson who was the 2nd pick in the 1st round of the 2021 draft.
