I was 9 years old, but I will never forget that first game against the Rams. The excitement was in the air hours before kickoff. The stadium absolutely exploded when Gilliam ran the opening kickoff back. Little did we know that would be the high point for the next two decades.

That and:
1. Fights in the stands;
2. Backpack beer dispensers;
3. Ostrich races;
4. Battle of NO re-enactments with real dismemberments.

Just got home from church and getting ready for our yearly opening day dove hunt. Watched a little of the game and set out to hunt figuring we would win the first game, not so fast.

The memories! Obert Logan tackling dirt. I still have some of the doubloons from the programs.
