frick Zion. Dude shouldn’t need his teammates calling him out in order for him to start playing. That’s some pussy shite.

Zion is going to come out and do Zion things on the court, and these fricking preseason threads will be bumped.
Acting like this is about one preseason is a joke. This is years of frustration.

Guy's been fat for his entire career. He's fat now, and won't play an entire season because of it.

Clearly he’s leaving a lot out for the sake of brevity, but it’s hilarious to think it actually went down like this:

Pelicans Teammates: “Hey Zion, have you ever tried just actually giving a frick?”

Zion:

Dear Griff,

If this is all it takes to get Zion to give the effort we saw last night, then for the low low price of $1,000, I’ll call Zion before every game and remind him he should actually try

Zion has never had an effort issue in actual games.

maybe he was just digging it in the preseason.

This is not true. There have been many games where he is flat footed on defense and getting blown by all game. That is usually to start a season or when returning from injury and he isn't in game shape. Once he gets into shape the effort is there, but when he's out of shape, you're a man down on defense.
