Isn't that one of his weaknesses, his low post game?
quote:
There was no player in college basketball more efficient in the post than Williamson. That’s not an exaggeration, and it honestly wasn’t particularly close. On his 77 post-ups this season, Williamson scored at prodigious 1.31 points-per-possession clip. Among other players with at least 50 post-up possessions this season, second place was Tyson Ward at North Dakota State at just 1.18 points per possession. The 0.13 points-per-possession difference between Williamson and second place is equivalent to the difference between second place and 39th place. He didn’t just lead the competition; he dominated it.

Maybe you read that he does not have much of an arsenal of moves, which I’d say is still true. Majority of his post shots were on or inside the block on the left side. He doesn’t have many different moves, but he will learn
Also not necessarily a knock on him for not having an arsenal thought because of his ability to get to a spot he’s confident in and make the shot, maybe it was just so easy for him to back down into that area to make the easy play that he never needed other moves

Not a subscriber to the Athletic, but I hope you didn’t interpret my post as if I am against Zion or anything like that. I just think that even at his level at the moment, he may have the most room of improvement of any of the top picks. He is already so good and has the athletisicm, but I think he is no where near his actual skill ceiling
And that is a terrifyingly exciting thought for Pels fans
Eta: Did the article go against my thought of him scoring from the left side in the paint for the majority of his post scoring?

AD is soft? What is the total of missed games over his career?
