I"m sorry but sitting out b/c your sick is a pussy arse excuse.
Youre an idiot.
Lots of sick athletes miss games, especially if they have flu type symptoms they cant play through. And teams dont want stars getting injured while playing sick in a currently meaningless opening season game.
We are 1-0 stfu. Zion incoming.

Super excited. But advise pelican carpet beggers to expect Zion to get a sit every 5 games.

It’s possible that Zion was sick as a dog, but I think your skepticism is justified after 5 years of his missing games and slacking on rehabs. He’s gotta prove himself to this fanbase before we give him free passes. He started to do it at one point last year until he injured his hamstring. But this year is a new year and he has to prove it even more this season. You can’t claim you are out for “straight vengeance” then miss 30 games and the playoffs again. This is Zion’s last put up or shut up season. It’s not off to a great start. His absence already led to an injury to our starting PG bc we were scrapping with a lottery team in the last 3 mins.

Maybe weak athletes that have no drive or determination. He was at practice the next day.

Players fought for fully guaranteed contracts because they "are" the league. But now the regular season doesn't count? Zion has never played in the playoffs. Has he ever played in a meaningful game?

How did Zion contribute to that? He makes over 400K a game. They should of had to restrain him from going out on the court. He should be under medical care to miss a game. This isn't some job, where he gets sick time and can miss from time to time. I don't understand this mentality..

I don’t. Good lord. I never said I did.
I have literally said if it’s high fever or shitting, don’t play. I understand that.
The point is I don’t trust Zion, so maybe it was fever or shitting, or maybe it was a head cold. With him I’m not giving him the benefit of the doubt like I would with Herb or Jose. If one of those two said they were sick and didn’t play, then I’d believe they were too sick to play.

I’m not sure the team didn’t want to keep him away from the rest of the team right as we start a new season. It’s over, we got the win, and I don’t plan to give it a second thought. But I do think as a whole, I need to see this team top to bottom take every game seriously. Zion missed 12 games without an injury just about last year. We sat players against the Spurs at the end of last season, and it cost us everything. One game meant 5 or 6 seed, no play in, maybe a better matchup and with Zion in the series. Don’t have players miss games in fear of them missing games.
