By any standards, the Pelicans season was a success. The team has an identity, an entertaining style, and a talented roster. We can finally put the Monty Williams arguments to rest, the team made the correct choice in sticking with Dell. The team finally has players that fit their style of play. It seems like Dell and Gentry are on the same page. Besides Ajinca, everyone has contributed in some way, even Hill. I hope we can package Ajinca and our 2nd round pick for someone like Justin Holiday or Patrick Beverly.

Cousins injury didn’t end our season, when it realistically could have. The coaching staff proved their worth, being able to scrap the original plan and adjust on the fly. I hope Boogie will be on the team next year; I think a 5-year max is too risky, considering his injury. A two or three year deal sounds fair, we don’t want to end up with a Chandler Parsons situation. If he insists on a 5-year max, I would trade him to Washington for Porter.

New Orleans finally gave the Pels some love, and the team thrived off this energy. The home crowd looked amazing (on television, in the playoffs), as opposed to earlier in the season. The Pelicans are now a good destination for free-agents. Not much cap space to work with, after re-signing our free agents, maybe we sign someone like: Mbah a Moute, Jeff Green, Rudy Gay, Joe Harris, VanVleet, Napier, Payton.

This team is a good SF away from being an elite team. I’m sure Dell knows this and will trade for one.

Go Pels!!!!

I think priorities should be:
resigning boogie, 2 year 18-20 mill
Resigning Rondo
Resign Clark
Resigning Miller if he allows us to get him cheap again

Then I’m not sure how cap works, but we need someone like Rodney Hood. On bad terms with cavs, so likely not resigning. Hasn’t really played well so he could come at a discount and he would be perfect to plug into the middle of the lineup to defend guys like KD, Lebron and Kawhi. We don’t really need much scoring from a SF with Jrue, AD, and Boogie/Niko on the floor

We have no money to spend on anyone. Would need to be a trade or a sign&Trade where we send out salary.

Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure this isn't in the cards with our cap situation

We certainly could use some bigger, more athletic guys on the wings
