Why is this team fundamentally bankrupt?

Turnovers, free throw shooting, 1v1 defending, rebounding and just overall sloppiness seem to always be an issue in games this season, even when we're winning.

Honestly, this is it. Great players coach but lacks the details.

Free throw shooting is weird, especially a guy like CJ who is an awesome shooter. No answer for you there.

Turnovers are weird. We average 14.9 which is 21st in the league, and less than Denver. Last night we made a lot of bad passes, if I remember right like 5-6 balls in the paint were stolen and we threw an inbounds out of bounds. Biggest issue is that we have a lot of live ball turnovers which bleeds into your next point, lack of defense.

Lack of defense is purely coaching IMO. We give up transition baskets like the opponent is doing drills in practice against air. Our rotations are never there. If someone gets beat 1 on 1 there’s no weak side help. I think the only thing we do well is get into passing lanes, and that’s just do to players like Herb and Jose having very active hands. I’m not an NBA coach and don’t know how to fix it, but I’ve played and watched enough basketball to know our defense is beyond broken and needs to be fixed.

Yeah this coaching. The Cavs are one of the worst matchups for the Pels especially without Zion, as it allows Mobley to guard Ingram more often, but the game was closer than the score. The little things is something most of our team can’t get a handle of night in and night out, so I place the blame on the staff.

I tend to believe it's the lack of good players and the availability of players.

We are a farm team... there's no championship push here. We are doomed to be at the bottom of the playoffs

Availability has been a BIG problem for this team during the last 4 seasons.
Lucky if our YOUNG "all stars" are available half the games. And if they play the other half, 50% of those games are getting back into playing condition.

Lack of defense is not purely coaching. It takes effort on their part as well which wasn't always there tonight .
