Yes I would like to trade a backup PG for an attempt to find a future starting PG, especially if Murray doesn't return to his old self.
Why do you want to keep a backup? Cause you like him?
What's the worst that happens we replace a backup with a backup? See how much it doesn't fricking matter?

I want to trade him so we can upgrade. I refuse to be content with mediocrity. I'd rather attempt to upgrade > keep a career backup fan favorite because he's a career backup fan favorite.
Its really not that complicated. If y'all weren't so one sided as to keeping him then this would be easily understandable.
The worst part is that y'all want to keep him for the hell of it even if he actually means very little to our success. Why because he's a fan favorite?
These are the exact reasons other franchises laugh at us and then trade high valued players to get better or contend.

I don’t really care to get involved in this dispute but it seems you are arguing Jose is average yet also arguing you want to trade him so that we can upgrade the position. That doesn’t really add up, if he’s average we won’t get a return that’s upgrade worthy.

Wow just wow....

Let me make this really simple.
1 average player = 1 average player.
There is 0% chance of upgrading by keeping him.
1 open roster spot = a chance at an upgrade.
I never said we will upgrade immediately. But I'd much rather TRY to upgrade > keep an average player because he's energetic while our team loses by 10 points.....

I actually thought you were doing this just to be a contrarian and argue just to argue. But I'm now beginning to think you're just really clueless. You apparently assume trading Jose is going to bring back some kind of significant return. You argue essentially that he's meaningless, refuse to acknowledge the obvious intangible he provides, but then seem to think he's a valuable trade piece that we have to unload. What is it? Is he mediocre? If so, then what return do you think other teams will give us for a mediocre backup player? Numerous people on this board, me included, have stated that if Jose is included as a piece in some type of meaningful trade, then do it. Otherwise, why unload a rotation guy (on a cheap contract) for a second round pick that, on average, isn't likely to get you a rotation player. Again, this just isn't that hard.

Jose's contract next year will count for 2.9% of the cap. He 100% gives more to this team than he takes in pay. With our cap issues, you don't get rid of someone who brings decent value on the court and has a great contract.

I think he’s arguing just to argue at this point. He’s basically just saying we know what Jose is, we don’t know what we could get for him so we might as well take the chance.

we wont get anything more of value than jose at that price. As the cap keeps growing, players are going to get way more.
Just ride him out. CJ could get some value in return, we have to be successful in this lotto.
